Winter is here, and Cone Park is in its full glory as one of Sioux City’s top seasonal destinations. Built for cold-weather fun, the park fully embraces winter, offering outdoor experiences that turn the season into something to celebrate rather than escape.
The main attraction is Cone Park’s 700-foot snow tubing hill for riders ages 5 and up, delivering fast, exhilarating runs during each session. There’s also a Blue Bunny Hill for everyone, including those under 5 years old, making Cone Park an easy win for families with a range of ages. Add in the 5,400-square-foot outdoor ice skating rink with refrigerated ice, and you’ve got a classic winter lineup perfect for both first-timers and seasoned skaters.
When it’s time to slow things down, head to the lodge, grab some food, and warm up by the fire pit while taking in the lively winter atmosphere. Looking to keep moving? The 2-mile trail loop winds through Cone Park and into Sertoma Park, offering a scenic way to enjoy the winter landscape on foot. Whether you’re tubing, skating, strolling the trails, or relaxing fireside, Cone Park is the perfect place to experience winter in Sioux City at its best! |
