Hi, Concord fans! Notice anything different about us? That's right - we've brightened up our brand with some new colors, a new logo and more. Same great Concord, but now with a look that's as vibrant as our city!

This October, we've got lots of cool events happening in our buzzing community. Read on to get the scoop.

Haunted Halloween Events

The witching hour nears, and spooky attractions are popping up all over Concord! Head down to the ABC Pumpkin Patch with lots of inflatables for some family-friendly fun, or to The Veranda on Oct. 16 for their spooky seasonal Kids' Club. Head over to the Concord Visitor Center on Oct. 28 for the First Annual Perro (Dog) Costume Contest and Parade. Check out our October events calendar for more.

The Taco Challenge Beckons!

Lucky you, taco fans! There's still time for you to score big in our annual Taco Trail Challenge, which wraps up Oct. 15! You can sign up for a mobile trail passport on our website. Use the passport to plot your route through nearly 40 participating taco shops. The more restaurants you visit and check in at, the more points you earn towards prizes! Thanks again to all our participating restaurants. You all rock our tacos!

ProBar: Located in The Veranda, this shop takes gelato on the go in the form of popsicles! Yum.

Alpine Pastry & Cakes: A great choice for bakery classics. Alpine also has fun Oktoberfest specials this month!

Devil & Angel: Soft-serve ice cream and tasty boba teas get a blast of color at this sinfully sweet shop.

Cleaner & Greener

Have you heard about the Cleaner Contra Costa initiative? We're so proud of this county-wide effort to encourage homes and businesses to make more environmentally friendly choices. It includes a fall challenge happening now that incentivizes skipping packaging, installing efficient home fixtures and more. Concord is proud to do our part! Learn more here.
