Five Year Destination Strategic Plan
Asking for Community Input |
Visit Tri-Valley, the Destination Marketing Organization for Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin and the Town of Danville, in conjunction with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, is beginning an exciting Destination Strategic Planning process with a focus on a potential new regional multi-use venue. The goal of this plan is to identify and develop strategies that help further develop a vibrant visitor economy while also enhancing the quality of life for residents. The Destination Strategic Plan will be a road map that guides the area’s tourism efforts for years to come. Our collaborative process is being facilitated by the Tourism & Destination Advisory practice at JLL, a global consulting group. The Destination Strategic Planning process will be carried out in four phases and is expected to take 10 months, which includes a 22-member Steering Committee, demand-driver data analysis, focus groups, and one-on-one interviews. Bimonthly progress updates will be posted on VisitTriValley.com. The final plan will include recommendations for future product development, infrastructure upgrades, destination experiences, and organizational and partner support, with the goal of positioning the Tri-Valley as a top-tier destination.
We Want to Hear from You!
We want to engage with you throughout the planning process and get your feedback and insights on Tri-Valley's unique offerings and potential. Community input into this planning process is essential. What, where and how do you feel our efforts should be focused for the near future? What are our strengths and areas for opportunity? Please post your comments (kept anonymous) on the Public Comment Form and share with other thought leaders. If you would like to set up a time to meet with our consultants to discuss your thoughts in more detail, please email Tracy Farhad at Tracy@visittrivalley.com or Shirin Jafari at shirin.jafari@jll.com. We will be happy to schedule a time that works for you. We look forward to sharing the results of this important long-term plan with you in the near future.

VTV's Justin Bower and Tracy Farhad with members of Ripe at DMA West Tech Summit |
VTV’s Tracy Farhad and Justin Bower joined hundreds of colleagues from other Destination Marketing Organizations in Salt Lake City to learn the next big things in the travel industry. Hot topics included GA4, short form and vertical video, and even ChatGPT. No, it did not write this newsletter.
VTV is proud to announce the launch of RIPE, a third-party booking engine on www.visittrivalley.com for commission-free hotel reservations for Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin and Danville. With an average of 40k-50k visits per month to our destination website, VTV can now capture those potential visitors ready to book a room on the spot, with live bookable rates, availability, and hotel amenities to 38 Tri-Valley hotels. Just one more way we are making it easier for customers to locate the perfect night’s stay in the Tri-Valley.

Hoteliers enjoying a tasting and bites with beer cicerone and head brewer Matt Sager of Danville Brewing Co. |
The I AM Tri-Valley Ambassador program kicked off the 2023 series in Danville. We treated our hoteliers on a tour of Eugene O'Neill's Tao House, sipped on some suds and snacked on delicious food from Danville Brewing Co, were awed at the unique collections in Cottage Jewel, savored tasty treats from Lottie's Creamery, and finished the day at America's Finest Hemp. Thank you to all who helped organize and who contributed to this educational event.
