Tri-Valley Restaurant Week a Five Star Success |
Taste Tri-Valley Restaurant Week presented by Fremont Bank was a roaring success, February 23 – March 3, with 640 deal/pass engagements, 73 culinary and wine participants, 23 media placements, and eight exciting events, including our first ever Industry Night hosted by the fabulous AC Hotel by Marriott Pleasanton! And it brought nearly 100,000 visitors to our website! Many thanks to the region’s top Chefs: Francis Hogan of Sabio, Roland Passot and Romero Miraflor of LB Steak, Rodney Worth of The Peasant and the Pear, and Daniel Massie of Wente Vineyards, who presented an incredible Chef Collaboration for opening night, with Curt Pipes of Las Positas bringing it home at closing brunch. The events’ fundraising brought in generous proceeds for Sunflower Hill. This year’s 10-day extravaganza also included signature culinary experiences with the Livermore Valley Wine Trolley, Page Mill Winery, The Cheese Parlor, McGrail Vineyards, and BottleTaps. The lucky sweepstakes winner is Dara H. from Pleasanton, who won a two-night stay at the new SpringHill Suites, Blackhawk Museum tickets, an electric bike ride package from Pedego, and $250 in dining/wine gift certificates. A big thanks to our sponsors: Fremont Bank, GreenLeaf, City Center Bishop Ranch, Spirit of Gallo, Wente Vineyards, Ron Essex Photography, Enchanted Florist, and Yelp Elite. Congratulations everyone! The Tri-Valley continues to shine as a culinary star of the Bay Area!

Left to right: Robin Fahr, Visit Oakland’s Peter Gamez, and Tracy Farhad. |
VTV attended Visit California’s annual Outlook Forum in Palm Springs for four days of educational workshops, status of domestic and international travel to CA and essential industry networking. CEO Tracy Farhad also attended VCA’s 12-region CEO Workshop as a member of the Bay Area Advisory Committee with JLL Advisors. VCA, US Travel Association, U.N. Tourism, and industry colleagues gave compelling data on California’s rosier picture with both international and business travel set to return stronger in 2024. However, headwinds still prevail with long visa wait times and uncertain inflation worries. Advocacy and AI applications were top of mind, and VTV’s VP of Marketing, Robin Fahr, can now tell you all about making your brand sing, leveraging influencer content, and building cannabis tourism. Next for the VTV marketing team: DMA West Tech Summit in Mesa, Arizona end of the month.

Sports Director Todd Dibs has been on the road recently as he attended the Sports ETA CE Summit in San Jose and the California Sports Coalition event in Colorado Springs. Additionally, he welcomed the ShowStoppers dance event March 10-12, which brought the Tri-Valley more than 2,000 people per day. |
