A Big Open Heart

One of the best parts of wrapping up Taste Tri-Valley Restaurant Week is when we get to acknowledge the fundraising efforts of our community. We visited Open Heart Kitchen’s actual kitchen in Danville and presented them with a check to help them feed those in need in the Tri-Valley. Thank you to everyone at OHK for all you do.

Tourism Advocacy Day 2023

Last week, nearly 100 travel and tourism leaders from across California gathered in Sacramento for CalTravel’s annual Tourism Advocacy Day to meet with legislators, discuss the importance of travel and tourism, and raise our most pressing issues. VTV CEO Tracy Farhad joined her regional Mt. Diablo destination partners to meet with the offices of Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan, Assemblymember Timothy Grayson, and Senator Steven Glazer, all of whom are key to protecting and advancing the interests of our industry.

Sports and Sales Update

VTV’s Director of Sports Development, Todd Dibs, hosted a Sales Advisory Meeting/Luncheon with the team at Courtyard Marriott- Livermore. The meeting included a presentation from our new booking engine (Ripe) and department updates from all of the senior team.

Todd also attended Sports ETA symposium in Kansas City and met with 30+ sports planners and attended numerous education tracks.

VTV Out and About!

May is California Travel Month and during National Travel and Tourism Week, we hit the ground running by attending the Tourism Days of Visit Vallejo, Visit Vacaville and Visit Oakland. We are so proud of our tourism industry and all that it does for our communities. We continued the hospitality celebration by sponsoring and marketing at the Livermore Valley Craft Beer Festival at Las Positas College. 

Luck of the Leprechaun

Did you know Dublin now has a semi-professional team?! That's right, Dublin is the new home of the Leprechauns in the California Pecos League, an independent baseball league which operates in cities that do not have Major or Minor League Baseball teams and are not affiliated with either. 

You can catch them on Tuesday nights at Fallon Sports Park in Dublin. Click here for their entire schedule and how to get tickets. 

Speaking of baseball, we are back partnering with the Stockton Ports sponsoring their Suite Life Giveaway, which includes a scoreboard advertisement and a marketing table at three games this season. Play ball!
