| Tourism Office Closed
We wish everyone a fun, safe, and enjoyable Labor Day! There is a special Labor Day Encore Concert by the Cedar Falls Municipal Band at Overman Park September 4, 7pm. The Visitor Center and the Tourism & Visitors Bureau office will be closed, re-opening September 5 at our regular hours. The visitor center vestibule is open 24/7 to access guides, brochures, and maps. |

| Pear Fair
Mohair Pear's 12th annual Pear Fair is September 23, 11am - 5pm on College Hill. This curated open air indie craft fair will feature thirty plus DIY vendors under two big tents. The fair is located at the intersection of 22nd and College Streets in the Cedar Falls Municipal Lot G. There will be food available to purchase. Admission is free. | District Street Party
The inaugural Cedar Falls Downtown District Street Party will take place September 23, 4pm - 10pm on Main Street. The street will be closed to traffic, wide open for games, dancing, live music and plenty of fun! The event is free, by purchasing an official Street Party Koozie attendees may peruse the party while sipping a beverage purchased from one of the many Downtown District bars and restaurants. The Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center's 2023-2024 season kicks off with comedian Kevin James September 22, 7:30pm. Kevin James began his career as a stand-up on the Long Island comedy scene. In 1998 The King of Queens premiered running for nine seasons on CBS with James starring and the executive producer, it garnered him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. Legislative Priorities Survey
The iTIP Advocacy Committee is seeking input from Iowa's tourism industry regarding legislative priorities. Your responses will help the Advocacy Committee determine the slate of priorities to discuss with elected officials during the 2024 Legislative Session. It is the goal of iTIP to ensure the voices of the tourism industry are represented on Capital Hill. We want to work hand in hand with partners across the state and ensure tourism priorities are aligned. Priorities for local, state, and federal issues will be reviewed.
