June 14, 2021 The 2021 Sturgis Falls Celebration books are available at the Visitor Center. The theme for this year's festival is "Visions of Summer". This 45th annual celebration is June 25-27 with the Children's Parade on June 25 at 4:30pm and the Annual Parade on June 26 at 9:30am. The Sturgis Falls Ride is on June 26 at 8:30am and the Sturgis Falls 5K and Half Marathon is on June 27 at 7am. Headlining acts for the Gateway Park Stage are Pork Tornadoes on June 25, Arch Allies on June 26, and Bob Dorr & the Limestoners on June 27. For a list of all events, activities and entertainment, visit sturgisfalls.org. The Cedar Basin Music Festival is June 25-27. This three-day festival is full of free, live music in a variety of styles. As in years past, this annual festival will be held in two venues, the Heritage Stage at Sturgis Park (blues, contemporary, folk, rock) and the New Aldaya Jazz Stage at Newaldaya Lifescapes (traditional jazz). In addition, there will also be a variety of live music featured at River Place Plaza. The Cedar Basin Music Festival also features a variety of food vendors offering everything from traditional festival food as well as Latin American, Jamaican and Phillipino fare. Our newly redesigned, award-winning publication is an amazing opportunity to showcase the uniqueness of the Cedar Valley to all potential visitors and residents. Through impactful images, engaging content and a renewed approach toward this travel guide, we have truly become a top-of-mind destination of choice throughout our state and region. More than 40,000 print copies of our Visitors Guide are distributed at trade and consumer shows, hotels, information centers, Iowa Welcome Centers, the Waterloo Regional Airport, UNI-Dome, McLeod Center, Bien Venu Event Center, Cedar Falls Convention and Event Center, Waterloo Convention Center and many other local businesses. Visitors Guides are also included in packets mailed to potential visitors and relocating new residents. A digital version is also available, with past versions driving over 3,000 visitors to our website. Readers have the opportunity to learn about all of the amazing places that make the Cedar Valley a great a place to live, work, play and visit.
