This year’s theme is Honoring Local Business Heroes to celebrate our community’s resilience and courage through the economic impacts of COVID-19. Stafford County is proud of our robust business community and its entrepreneurial spirit. This annual event honors Stafford businesses and you, the people, that make them thrive. We will recognize and award a few local Business Heroes among us and encourage us all to join, celebrate, and recognize the work you all do. Award nominations are welcomed. The number one issue facing businesses of all types (large and small), is finding employees. There are a number of existing and new evolving federal, state, and regional funds and programs, each with unique target audiences. We are here to help you identify which pubic program may benefit your business. At the same time, we are exploring how we might compliment those programs to help attract talent for all business in Stafford and our region.
We continue to develop and enhance our efforts to help new business, start-ups, and your business grow as we launch our entrepreneurial development programs. Although “tech” focused programs are open to all businesses and entrepreneurs—and (as you have heard me say before, not just start-ups). With our partners we are enhancing and nurturing our regions’ “entrepreneurial ecosystem”, and we invite you to be a part of it as a participant, advisor, or mentor.
