Stafford Department of Economic Development
What's Next | February 2023
As a business owner, choosing the right location for your business is essential because it can make or break your success. Stafford, Virginia offers many advantages to businesses. A tremendous advantage that is rare in this part of Virginia is that Stafford charges no BPOL Tax.
Stafford has many advantages that can help your business thrive. To name a few:
Stafford is part of the greater Washington, D.C., metropolitan area and, as a result of the new approach to remote working, Stafford offers an excellent location to live and work
- Stafford schools are rated highly in the Commonwealth
- The County has a AAA bond rating from all three major rating agencies
Our office and our Economic Development Authority are always innovating and striving to offer resources to help your business grow. We were the first EDA to offer Covid-relief funds and, after that, launched the innovative Stafford Cares program by buying meal cards from local restaurants for distribution to families in need.
Since Covid, our EDA has launched new financing programs designed to help small and innovative tech companies grow in Stafford.
The Stafford Advantage is real and adaptable to your business needs. Learn more about the Stafford Advantage in this month’s blog post and contact us to learn more about how we can help your business in Stafford.
