There is no question that Stafford is home to many veterans, both retired and active. With over 20,000 veterans living in Stafford County, Virginia and proximity to Marine Corps Base Quantico, many Stafford-based small businesses are veteran-owned. We know that veterans possess leadership qualities that transition into successful entrepreneurs and business owners. To energize veterans becoming entrepreneurs, in 2016, the Veterans Business Bootcamp was developed. Read our latest story below and experience the value of attending this year's Veterans Business Bootcamp.

As Veterans Day approaches (known as the 11th day of the 11th month), please take time to appreciate all of our veterans and active duty military. For any veterans looking for their own “What’s Next,” please attend our upcoming Veterans Business Bootcamp to learn about entrepreneurship and resources available to start a business. Like all good “actions”, we continue to enhance the program, the offerings, and information we can provide to our veteran entrepreneurs.
Before we get to November, though, take a moment to enjoy Virginia Wine Month and check out our latest tourism blog story. Also, as we all look to improve our own workforce, take some time to learn the “raw truth” of workforce attraction and recruitment and join us at our next Beer & Business.
As always, be well, be safe, and do not stop innovating, creating and asking…What’s Next.
Sincerely, John Holden, Director

The Federal Reserve is seeking your feedback in this year’s Small Business Credit Survey. Join the thousands of for-profit small businesses who complete the survey to voice what you are experiencing. By taking the survey, small business owners contribute to data that directly informs the Fed, federal government agencies, service providers, policymakers, and others - ultimately benefitting their business and other businesses like theirs. Survey closes November 4.
