Jan. 18 | Martin Luther King Celebration  

Honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., at Mesquite's annual Parade and Community Celebration. In partnership with the Mesquite NAACP, watch and cheer during the parade beginning at 10 a.m. in downtown Mesquite, followed by the Community Celebration at 2 p.m. at the Mesquite Arts Center. Feel the spirit of unity with moving and inspirational speeches from various church pastors and community leaders, along with dance and musical performances.

Jan. 3 | Mesquite Outlaws vs. Dallas Sidekicks 

The rivalry is back! Watch the Mesquite Outlaws kick-off their first game of the new year against cross-town rivals , the Dallas Sidekicks, in the Mesquite Arena at 7:30 p.m. Cheer on our favorite team as they bring their historic season into 2020. 

Jan. 4 | Mesquite Outlaws vs. Tacoma Stars 

The Mesquite Outlaws will welcome the Tacoma Stars to the Mesquite Arena for a jam-packed Saturday night. Show your team spirit with your favorite Outlaws gear and bring a friend along to see an exciting match. 

Jan. 11 | Mesquite Outlaws vs. Monterrey Flash  

If you were not able to catch the last matchup between the Mesquite Outlaws and the Monterrey Flash, here is your chance. See if the Outlaws can pull out a win against their international rival. Make sure to be in your seat by 7 p.m.

 Jan. 24 - 25 | Gospel Music Artist Association 

Enjoy two evenings of free concerts as the Gospel Music Artist Association hosts its annual convention at the Mesquite Convention Center. The first concert kicks off Friday at 6:30 p.m. and the second one on Saturday at 6 p.m.

Jan. 4 - 5 | Premier Gun Shows at the Mesquite Convention Center 

The first gun show of the year will be at the Mesquite Convention Center for collectors and enthusiasts to browse the first offering of the new year. Got some new collectible this Christmas? Make some room, sell and trade firearms with other collectors. The two-day trade show is from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday. 

Jan. 11 | American Bully Kennel Club: Dallas All-Star Showdown 

The Dallas All-Star Showdown Bully Breed show is bringing the best breed to the Mesquite Convention Center. All rescues and vendors will be on display to promote responsible ownership and give dogs a place to perform and compete. Doors open at 8:30 a.m.

Jan. 18 - 19 | Ozark Cat Fanciers 

Catch the best felines in show as the Ozark Cat Fanciers make their return to the Mesquite Convention Center for their Winter Festival competition. See the best in the show, participate in the cat costume competition, and enter the raffle for door prizes. Show hours are from 8:45 a.m. – 5 p.m.
