Join Mark Chestnutt to Kick Off the Rodeo Season

Mark Chestnutt will kick off the 62nd rodeo season on Saturday, June 1 at the iconic Mesquite Championship Rodeo Arena. Beginning at 6 p.m., head to the arena floor to interact with rodeo participants and try out your rodeo skills. Bring the kids to enjoy the Fan Zone with free pony rides, stick-horse barrel racing, bounce houses, and more. June 8 | Summer Sizzle

Step into summer at the annual Summer Sizzle Festival on Saturday, June 8, from 4 - 10:30 p.m. at Paschall Park located at 1001 New Market Road. Enjoy a day filled with families enjoying live music, food trucks, children’s activities, a mud volleyball tournament, and more. Summer Sizzle will end with a fireworks show set to music starting at 10 p.m. Entrance into the park is free, but some activities will have a fee.

Music in the Park Every Monday in June

The Mesquite Community Band presents its 28th season of Music in the Park, held on the north lawn of the Mesquite Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. every Monday in June. Parking and admission are free. Be sure to bring your blankets and lawn chairs. Concessions will be available for purchase or bring your picnic basket.

June 4 | Just for Kids: Fundamentals of Hip Hop

June 4 | Just for Kids: DJ 101

Join the Mesquite Arts Center every first Tuesday in June, July, and August as the Mesquite Arts Council presents Just For Kids: DJ 101. Introducing elements of the hip hop community to children ages 6-12. This class will cover fundamentals of how to become a DJ, apparel, and technology.

 June 13 | Courtyard Concert Series: Poppy Xander and The Chamber Rock Ensemble

New this summer, Courtyard Concert Series presented by the Mesquite Arts Council will bring local DFW musical talents to the Mesquite Arts Center.  Sponsored by Arts and Culture Texas Magazine and Brooklyn Brewery, this family friendly, free event  occurs every 2nd Thursday in June, July, and August.

 June 14 – 30 | Mesquite Arts Theater Presents Ideal Husband

Grab a seat as the Mesquite Arts Theater presents a new, modern take on a classic set in early 1960s London. Get wrapped up in this classic comedy of suspense and intrigue in the “polite” upper echelon of British society as the story of Lady Chilter and her pursuit of Sir Robert unfolds in the Black Box Theater. Enjoy performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and on Sundays at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets Available for Devil’s Bowl Speedway

Hailed as the Southwest's best dirt track, Devil's Bowl Speedway is the premier venue for racing entertainment. This month catch a race every Saturday at 6 p.m. at the high banked, D shaped, half-mile track. There is not a bad seat in the house, to get a great adrenaline rush.

June 21 | Movies in the Park

Mesquite Parks and Recreation invites you to Movies in the Park at Paschall Park located at 1001 New Market Road. Pre-show entertainment begins at 7 p.m. and will include music, dancing, and games. The movies will start at dusk. Patrons are encouraged to bring their picnic baskets, lawn chairs, and blankets. Movies in the Park is an excellent opportunity for the whole family to experience movie watching in the great outdoors. The feature film will be Hotel Transylvania 3
