We’re cheering on the return of JAMZ at @the Grounds! JAMZ, a leading national cheer and dance organization, brings the excitement back to Placer Valley with the Battle at the Capitol and the Capitol City Championship on November 9-10. With over 5,800 competitors and nearly 13,200 spectators expected throughout the weekend, these events are set to fill the region with energy and enthusiasm. As qualifiers for the JAMZ Youth & School Nationals, the stakes are high, promising fierce competition and unforgettable performances. Last year, these events generated more than 350 room nights for local Placer Valley hotels, and this year’s turnout looks to be even more impactful for our community!

Next month, Placer Valley Tourism is excited to host the returning CK's Women's West Coast Tournament of Champions (WWCTOC) on December 20-21 at the Roebbelen Center. This all-female premier wrestling tournament is set to feature over 1,000 middle school, high school, and college wrestlers competing fiercely, showcasing the growth of women's wrestling in the nation. The event not only highlights the talent of these athletes but also serves to boost local tourism and support the development of the sport.

Total Economic Impact: $1.5 million Boys California Live 2024, hosted by the Bay Area Basketball Coaches Association at the Roebbelen Center, brought together 168 high school basketball teams for an NCAA certified/CIF sanctioned event. Over 5,000 attendees, including 167 college coaches, enjoyed the premier competition in a world-class venue. Generating more than 1,838 hotel room nights and $1.5 million in economic impact, this event highlighted Placer Valley’s exceptional hospitality to create a memorable experience for teams and fans while boosting tourism and the local economy.
