Northern California Classic

September 6-8 at Folsom Lake

The Northern California Classic, taking place from September 6-8 at Folsom Lake in Granite Bay, will bring nearly 900 CrossFit athletes to compete in one of the largest fitness events on the West Coast. Over the course of three days, participants will showcase their strength, endurance, and agility across a series of intense workouts, all vying for a share of the $128,000 prize pool. The event is expected to draw more than 1,500 spectators and generate $1.5 million in economic impact for the Placer Valley region. Along with the competition, attendees can enjoy a variety of food vendors, a beer garden, and a family-friendly atmosphere. Spectators can purchase a 3-day pass for $30, and VIP parking is available for $75 with early bird pricing. Shuttle services will be available from parking areas to Main Beach. Sierra Shootout Water Polo

September 6-7 & 13-14 at Sierra College and Local High Schools

Placer Valley is thrilled to welcome two back-to-back weekends of high school water polo action with the Sierra Shootout/Chuck McCollum Invitational! Hosted at Sierra College and local high schools, the boys' tournament kicks off on September 6-7, followed by the girls' competition on September 13-14. Over 2,000 athletes from the Sacramento region, Bay Area, Central Valley, and Reno will compete in more than 300 games. These massive tournaments are among the largest in the nation and will generate a significant boost for our local economy. Don’t miss the chance to see top-tier water polo in Placer Valley!

The Great Junk Hunt

Hot Chili & Cool Cars

September 20-21 in Downtown Rocklin

Placer Valley Tourism is excited to be a premier sponsor of the Rocklin Chamber of Commerce’s Hot Chili & Cool Cars, happening September 20-21. This 31st annual event will transform downtown Rocklin into a lively celebration of classic cars and chili competition across nearly 17 acres. The festivities kick off with the 5th Annual Classic Car Cruise through Rocklin on September 20 at 6 p.m., leading into the main event at Quarry Park and Rocklin Road on September 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free, but chili kits are available for $15 each. Purchase your kits in advance to skip the lines, though they will also be available at the event. We’re proud to support this beloved community event!

Taste of Lincoln Showcase

We’re excited to announce our support as the title sponsor for the 15th Annual Taste of Lincoln Showcase.
