Senior Softball Western National Championships

August 1-6 at Various Fields throughout Placer Valley

Witness the exciting Senior Softball-USA Western National Championships, where about 150 enthusiastic slow-pitch teams, from Alaska and Hawaii to Texas, including over 20 local teams, will compete in one of the nation's largest tournaments. From August 1 to August 6, thousands of talented athletes, some in their 80s, will light up Placer Valley and Sacramento County with their softball skills, creating a fantastic and action-packed event for players and fans alike. Let's cheer them on as they bring their A-game and camaraderie to the diamond, making this a week of sports excitement!

USTA NorCal Adult League Sectionals

August 18-20 at Johnson Ranch

Johnson Ranch Sports Club is set to ignite the courts with excitement as they host the USTA Adult League Sectionals in Roseville! The Adult 18 & Over League features men & women's teams organized by NTRP (National Tennis Rating Program) levels. The season runs from April 10 to June 18, followed by playoffs from July 6 to 23. The winning teams from the playoffs earned the chance to compete at the Sectionals. From there, the winners advance to Nationals to vie for a prestigious National Title! Johnson Ranch will host both men's and women's divisional play, featuring teams from Almaden, Richmond, San Francisco, and more. Last year's USTA events generated 100+ room nights in Placer Valley hotels, bringing big sports tourism to the region.

Soccer Season Begins

Starting in August at Wolverine Soccer Complex & Warrior Field in Rocklin

Get ready for an action-packed soccer season in Placer Valley as we welcome back Sierra College Women's Soccer team, who secured their 4th consecutive trip to the NorCal Finals last year and ranked an impressive #11 in the nation. With their unwavering dedication and unmatched skills, they continue to set new standards in the soccer world. Catch their first home game against Taft College on August 25.

Meanwhile, Jessup University Men's Soccer, promises an exciting run towards the GSAC gold. Jessup University Women's Soccer, led by standout players like Kaylee Gillespie and Hannah Olariu, are on a mission to clinch a postseason bid this year. Mark your calendars for their upcoming home games, starting with Jessup Men's Soccer on August 12 against Bethesda University of California, and Jessup Women's Soccer on August 19 against Lake Tahoe Community College. Cheer on these remarkable teams and witness the thrill of local soccer at its best!
