National History Day CA State Finals

May 6-8 at William Jessup University

Champions from each county will compete Friday, May 6 through Sunday, May 8, 2022, at the annual National History Day CA State Finals at William Jessup University. Placer Valley Tourism is so excited this event is back in Rocklin, as the last two years it was held virtually. The 2019 National History Day CA State Finals generated over 1,200 room nights in Placer Valley hotels!

California BatonCouncil State Championships

May 14-15 at Twelve Bridges High School

The upcoming California Baton Council State Championships is a brand new event in our region! This prestigious baton twirling competition is evaluated by United States Twirling Association judges and includes novice, beginning, and intermediate level events. Athletes will compete at Twelve Bridges High School in Lincoln for a chance at being an age, semi-final, or finals champion!

Lincoln Potters Baseball

Season Begins May 27 at the McBean Stadium

The Lincoln Potters are back this month at the McBean Stadium! The summer collegiate baseball season begins with the May 27 Opening Night against Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox. Click the info button below to view upcoming home games and ticket information.

NCVA Volleyball Bay View Classic

May 28-30 @the Grounds

The 35th Annual Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA) Bay View Classic tournament will be held @the Grounds in the Roebbelen Center on May 28-30, 2022. NCVA events bring many out-of-town athletes to our area, boosting tourism and the local economy. These NCVA events have already generated over 2,000 room nights in our Placer Valley hotels so far this year!

Placer County Fair

June 23-26 @the Grounds

This year's theme "Meet Me At The Fair", stirs memories of the history and traditions of Placer County. Hop on a ride at the carnival, stroll through the livestock barns, see Miss Placer County crowned, and admire the crafty entries at the Still Exhibits. Get your fill of corn dogs, cotton candy, or maybe put your bib on and sample entries from the Rib Cook-Off.

Join us for a mixer and ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of "The Attaway Pavilion", a brand new beer garden and entertainment venue @the Grounds. No registration is required for this event.
