NCVA Girls Volleyball

February 5-6, 19-21 & 26-27 @the Grounds

Placer Valley is the place to be for Volleyball! The NCVA Girls Power League Qualifier takes place @the Grounds in the Roebbelen Center on February 5-6. NCVA will host two more events (February 19-21 & 26-27) in the Roebbelen Center this month. These events are sure to bring some tough competition to our region. Last spring, NCVA generated 1,345 room nights in Placer Valley hotels!

SNS Senior Winter Championships

February 5-6 at the Roseville Aquatics Complex

The inaugural SNS Senior Winter Champs Meet will be hosted by California Capital Aquatics on February 5-6, 2022 at the Roseville Aquatics Complex. This event is a prelim/final meet and expects around 300-400 swimmers to compete here in Roseville, CA. 

NorCal Open Cheer Championship

February 12-13 @the Grounds

The National Cheer Association (NCA) is hosting the NorCal Open Championship at the brand new Roebbelen Center on February 12-13! Witness the action and high flying stunts as these cheer athletes compete for their spot at Nationals. 

USTA JR Championships Tournament

February 19-21 at Johnson Ranch Racquet Club

The Junior Championships will take place February 19-21, 2022 at Johnson Ranch's premier 25 court facility. Boys and girls ages 12-18 will compete in singles and doubles championships. Athletes will travel from Washington, Nevada, Utah and California to compete here in Placer Valley.

Pickleball Expansion in Placer Valley

Johnson Ranch Racquet Club

Have you heard the exciting news? Johnson Ranch will be converting seven tennis courts to 24 lighted pickleball courts starting during the first quarter of 2022. The courts expect to open for play around April or May this year. As part of the pickleball expansion, Johnson Ranch plans to develop Spare Time interclub pickleball leagues to promote level-specific competitive play.

 

Amy Sanford, Spare Time Sports/Johnson Ranch's new Pickleball Director, expresses her excitement for pickleball's growth in Placer Valley. "The sport of pickleball is growing by leaps and bounds all over the United States and our region is no different. As the pickleball director, I plan to teach a pickleball 101 class each week free to our community to bring awareness to the amazing sport."
