Sports, Culture & Culinary Events Galore
As the Spring season arrives, the city of Jacksonville continues to see growth in successful, safe and fun local events returning. Last week brought the return of World of Nations, Spartan Race at WW Motocross and the American Cornhole League Open. Each of these events were a huge success, implementing safety practices and contactless measures to allow out of town guests to celebrate carefully.
With success in the rearview mirror, our team looks forward to the warmer weather and possibility for even more events. TIAA Bank Stadium will be hosting Monster Jam this weekend, March 6th and 7th, and fans will be able to watch thrills and stunts in the open-air stadium. THE PLAYERS Championship returns to TPC Sawgrass March 9-14. Downtown Vision's Jax River Jams series will debut at Riverfront Plaza with 4 concerts in the month of April. Later, under the Fuller Warren Bridge, 904 Happy Hour will hold their Inaugural Jacksonville Taco & Tequila Festival.

AIRPORT VISITORS CENTER OPEN After nearly a year of closure, our Visitors Centers are open all over the city. Visitors flying in to JAX can stop in the baggage claim area, Sunday through Saturday, 10 AM - 6 PM. Our other centers, located Downtown and in Jacksonville Beach, are also open and ready to help guide the perfect trip to Jax. For full details, visit our site. HOSTED WRITERS Think your business should be featured in more writer and influencer visits? Tell us why! Pitch us on why you’re distinctive and let us know if you would like to host writers/influencers at your business. We have recently seen many more requests from writers and travel influencers to visit Jacksonville over the coming months. Let us know if you would be willing to host for free or at a reduced media rate. SALES TEAM ON THE ROAD In addition to successful events bringing in visitors from all over, the Visit Jacksonville sales team hosted three client events last week in Orlando. The trip provided the opportunity to network and update meeting planners on Jacksonville and our “Stimulus Boost" promotion. The events included a spa event, coffee chat and an evening reception. Meeting and convention planners alike were glad to see destinations safely host in-person events and will be sure to remember Jacksonville in future plans.
