PHASE II - What's New?

 

Today, June 5, Florida enters Phase II of the state-wide reopening plans. Governor DeSantis' plan, Safe, Smart, Step-by-Step, relaxes even more of the measures put in place to slow the spread of COVID. To read the full executive order, click here. 

 

Some notable changes include:

  • Gyms and retail operating at 100% capacity
  • All bars and pubs including those in hotels can open at a 50% capacity
  • Entertainment facilities can open at a 50% capacity
  • Groups are encouraged to limit gatherings to no more than 50

JULY 4TH FIREWORKS Mayor Curry announced that the City will have a 4th of July fireworks celebration downtown, as well as in other locations around Jacksonville so that citizens can safely watch—socially distanced—from their own communities. Local TV stations will also broadcast the fireworks to those who choose to stay at home.
