Local Hotel Restrictions to be Lifted

Today, Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry announced that Executive Order 2020-4 requiring hotels to only accept reservations from essential workers will be lifted on Monday, May 4 at 8am and hotels can begin accepting all reservations again. All hotels and vacation rentals must still comply with any state mandates issued by the governor. Duval County will follow the state’s guidelines moving forward. Visit Jacksonville has worked closely with the Mayor throughout these difficult times and we appreciate The City partnering with us to get our hotel industry back to work.

This Thursday, the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association will host two Zoom meetings to share info on best practices for doing business as we re-open in COVID-19 times. Each meeting will have your peers as panelists, Restaurant at 10 a.m. .and Lodging at 3 p.m.  Both zoom meetings are open to all. Click here to register for the restaurant zoom and click here to register for lodging zoom.  Questions, contact Nicole Chapman, FRLA Northeast Regional Director, nchapman@frla.org or 904-574-2259.
