It's Time to Start Prepping

Yesterday, Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry announced that restaurants, retail and lodging establishments should start preparing for what reopening might look like for individual businesses. He did not yet discuss a timeline, but said that the time to prepare is now.

We live in a different world now and consumers will be looking for a safer environment.

The Destination Analysts Sentiment Study for April 27th shows that when asked about the operational practices they want to see used at restaurants and commercial locations like malls and sports venues, Americans are in most agreement about hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes and well-explained cleaning procedures.

Here are some resources to use as you begin the plans for reopening:

  • Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association's Critical COVID-19 Guidance Standards for Hospitality Reopening
  • Museum Operations in the age of Covid19: Planning to reopen your Museum

Visit Jacksonville will continue to share resources as they become available. We are here to help, let us know if we can assist in any way.
