CARES ACT LIVE Starting today, April 3, 2020 small businesses and sole proprietorships can apply for assistance through the CARES Act to cover payroll and certain other expenses. You can apply through any approved SBA lender. A list of approved lenders can be found at www.sba.gov Apply early; it is anticipated that this will cause backlogs and overloads. NOTICE TO TRAVELERS Governor Ron DeSantis's executive orders for travelers from Connecticut, New Jersey and New York requires visitors to quarantine in their homes for at least 14 days. NEW LEADERS Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront announced that Joe Hindsley has joined the hotel as their new General Manager, overseeing and managing all operations, staffing and guest satisfaction aspects of the downtown property. Hindsley replaces Luis Aloma, who recently began his retirement after working with Hyatt Corporation for three decades. Congratulations to the Hyatt Team and Joe Hindsley! VIRTUAL EVENTS While we may not be able to leave our homes right now, people are still looking for ways to be entertained and virtual events are a new creative way to do just that!
