April 1, 2020 Good afternoon, tourism partners. During these unprecedented and difficult times, Visit Jacksonville wants to help where we can. Many of you have had to close your doors temporarily or are operating with limited staff and limited hours. I'm sure that marketing takes a backseat to the individual needs of keeping your business open in the future. That's where we can help right now.
Let us help amplify your message - whatever that may be right now. We know that marketing at a time like this is difficult and messaging can be tricky. We have spent the last few weeks creating some opportunities for your businesses to be spotlighted, whether opened or not, and now we need your help to populate them.
Our team has developed a Virtual Experience Hub, where locals and future visitors can enjoy #onlyinjax experiences without leaving their homes. 360 videos, live camera feeds, virtual events calendar, destination information and so many more resources all in one page to provide the inspiration (and tools) needed to experience Jacksonville from inside your home. Do you have something we can add?
Along with the Virtual Experience Hub, our #JaxfromHome site is the best way to share the spirit of the city with the whole world. We want to partner with you to let people know how they can support you - our local makers - right now, even if they can't leave their couch. If you have any promotions, to-go specials, deals or experiences share them with our hashtag, #JaxfromHome.
Join our marketing team Friday for our #JaxfromHome Twitter chat (details below), share your virtual events so we can add them to our Virtual Event Calendar, load your deals to our site or customize your Zoom meetings with a Jax background. All of these details and more can be found on our website. We have created a dedicated page for you, our tourism businesses, and will continue to add additional opportunities here as they are developed. We welcome any other ideas you may have, please share them.
We are all in this together and together we can emerge from these times even stronger than before.

TWITTER TRAVEL CHAT We invite your business to participate in Visit Jacksonville's weekly #JaxfromHome Twitter Chat, scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m. Example questions include "What is your favorite local restaurant to order takeout from and what do you get?" and "What is your favorite memory in Jacksonville?" For more information check out our Twitter Chat tab or send us an email. NOW & LATER DEALS Are you offering incentives for locals and future visitors to enjoy your products/business/services during these hard times? Or are you already planning ahead to better days and have some post-isolation deals in the works? We want to help by letting more people know how they can help you! Please post your #JaxfromHome deals here. VIRTUAL EVENTS While we may not be able to leave our homes right now, people are still looking for ways to be entertained and virtual events are a new creative way to do just that! If your attraction/business is open and you have a social media account then you have all you need to plan a virtual event that people from across the globe can enjoy. We have created a Virtual Events Calendar to help spread the word on these fun online activities. VIRTUAL MEETING PLANNER This page is packed with all things Jacksonville to give meeting professionals a "virtual" look into what their next meeting could be like in Jax! Virtual venue videos, group itineraries, and more give the chance to still sell Jacksonville to future meetings, even when they can't come for a visit. More Info Here. LOCAL HELPERS Our industry is facing unprecedented times, and through the struggles the community has already found a way to lift each other up. A local sign company is offering free signs to businesses open at this time. A $500 grant is available for restaurant employees who have been affected by the COVID-19 crisis. Jacksonville is using their collective voice to help the thousands of #onlyinjax businesses rise up and prosper through these tough times.
