THE LIFESPAN OF A FACT AT AURORA THEATRE

Downtown Arts District stalwart Aurora Theatre Company is presenting a new show that's being called "Intimate. Intriguing. Insouciant."  The Lifespan of a Fact is sure to spark thoughtful discourse over fact, fiction, and the blurry line between news and infotainment. Recently a Broadway hit starring Daniel Radcliffe, Aurora's production of The Lifespan of a Fact offers live performances beginning June 21 and a concurrent streaming option from July 16 to show closing on July 21.  Tickets available online for both the streaming and in-person modes.  The live show is festival seating, first come first seated.

BERKELEY SUMMER CINEMA

Toss your picnic blanket and catch a movie this summer in a beautiful Berkeley park.  The Berkeley Summer Evening Film Series is scheduled through September in parks across the City, from north to south, the flatlands to the hills.  Films include such heralded titles as Top Gun: Maverick, The Little Mermaid, Kung Fu Panda 4, and the award-winning Bears from Disneynature.  The shows screen on oversized, 20-foot by 12-foot inflatable movie screens with premium audio-visual equipment for outdoor viewing.  Pro tips: consider taking a car-free route to the parks, such as biking, using a shared bike or scooter, carpooling, or taking AC Transit lines.  For comfort, bring blankets, sleeping bags, or low-back beach chairs (max height: 9 inches) to avoid blocking the view of others. Please note that these events are alcohol-free.A flashlight or headlamp will help to light the way after the show.  Movies the park are just one of a variety of free events throughout the year organized by the City's Parks, Recreation, and Waterfront Department, which offers camps, classes, and activities designed to include an array of age groups and socioeconomic backgrounds.
