the Berkeley Bucks eGift Card Program:
What is it?
Berkeley Bucks is a digital gift card that is powered by Yiftee, valid at any business that signs up & activated to participate. These eGift Cards can be redeemed in person, over the phone or through your online shop.
Who buys them?
Customers buy them online and give them as gifts, thank yous, etc to support local businesses. Parents can buy them for Cal students, and alumni can use them to revisit their favorite spots, Go Bears!
Local companies use them for employee rewards, customer appreciation, marketing and other programs!
Realtors and other professionals use them to appreciate their customers and prospects!
Where can they be used?
Once a business is set up and activates their PoS with the $.10 Yiftee activation card will automatically be listed on the Berkeley Bucks page with all the locations that accept the eGit Card!
You received an email from merchantsupport@yiftee.com with simple instructions to activate. Please contact Jeffrey Church to have it sent again.
Why participate?
- Drive more business into your store and keep customers spending in Berkeley, where cards can ONLY be used at participating merchants in the city.
- No special technology required to participate! (PoS must accept Mastercard and be able to key in the transaction like a phone order.)
- No back-office administration or fee to participate, and funds are automatically paid through your usual Mastercard processor.
When do I need to register by?
After you receive your email with simple instructions from Yiftee with the $.10 activation card, key in the card in your PoS and you’re good to go! With a marketing launch date of October 1st, we want you to activate as soon as possible!
