Hampton has several businesses that have gotten notoriety on popular TV shows. Scratch Bakery owner Lashonda Sanford made her television debut in 2020 as a contestant on Food Network's "Holiday Baking Championship." 

Graham & Rollins Seafood is a popular, fourth generation, family-run business that sells their delicious crabcakes and other items regularly on QVC. 

Have you heard of the 'Mango Ladies?' The founders of the Simply Panache business empire (which includes Mango Mangeaux) were featured on "Shark Tank" and have sold out of their famous mango preserves five times on QVC.

Netti Fulton, Group Sales Manager

Meet Netti Fulton, CMP, CFMP. Netti, Group Sales Manager, has been a member of the Hampton Convention & Visitor Bureau team since 2013. 

Q: How did you get your start in the industry?

A: I attended college for culinary arts and hotel/restaurant management and while I studied, I worked in various restaurants, hotels and resorts. I experienced every department, so it seemed natural to plan the events.

Q: What is an interesting fact that you tell meeting planners about Hampton?  

A: I feel that Hampton is also known as “Crabtown” and the history behind that culture.

Hampton Roads Convention Center features new upgrades

 The unique white sails that hang proudly at the building's entrance welcome visitors from all over for conventions and meetings, athletic competitions and more. The center's recently renovated ballroom with new flooring and lighting offers meeting and convention attendees an unmatched event space. The venue also has its GBAC STAR™ Facility Accreditation, making it a safe and sustainable space for all. Clorox was recently named the Official Cleaning and Disinfecting Product Partner for ASM Global, the managing partner of the center. Additionally, the campus that includes the Hampton Roads Convention Center, Hampton Virginia Aquaplex, and the Hampton Coliseum will soon be rebranded to reflect all that the city has to offer.
