Beyond the meeting room - explore history and culture at Hampton's museums

Convention and meeting attendees alike can bask in the world-class attractions that Hampton provides. The Hampton History Museum, Hampton University Museum and the Casemate Museum offer convenient exploration and unique meeting spaces beyond your traditional conference room.

Galleries at the Hampton History Museum represent the city's antiquity, including the early inhabitance by the Kecoughtan tribe and the arrival of the first Africans in English-speaking North America. The Hampton University Museum collection is the nation’s oldest African American museum and the oldest museum in Virginia. The space is home to more than 12,000 objects and works of art that are representative of cultures from around the world.

The Casemate Museum is located within the walls of the largest masonry fort constructed in the U.S. and chronicles 400 years of history at Fort Monroe.
