  • June 7: Phabulous Phoebus Pride Festival - Mellen Street in historic Phoebus will come alive with pride, unity, and creativity at this free, family-friendly celebration & street festival. 
  • June 14: Sankofa’s 14th Annual Remembrance Ceremony at Outlook Beach at Fort Monroe - Ceremonial Remembrance Walk, poetry, drumming & traditional songs, and theatrical performances.
  • June 19: Juneteenth Beach Party at Paradise Ocean Club - Celebrate culture, community, and summer vibes at this vibrant event hosted by the Virginia Black Film Festival. 
  • June 19: Juneteenth Concert at Continental Park at Fort Monroe ft: Melanie The Violinist, Hip Hop Performance by Night Train357, Blues Performance by Bobby Blackhat, & more.
  • June 20-22: Virginia Black Film Festival at Hampton University & The American Theatre celebrates Black stories through film, culture, and community.

  • New tours at Fort Monroe: Wednesdays - Prominence and Power of the Powhatan Chiefdom, Fridays - Knowledgeable Minds and Skilled Hands, & Saturdays - Shifting Sands: A Journey Through Time on this Spit of Land. On Juneteenth - Road to Freedom Tour at 1, 3, & 5 PM.
