Valentine’s Day is a day to celebrate love and show others you care. Celebrate a day early with the girls for Galentine’s Day, spoil your loved ones with gifts from our local shops, or show you’re thinking about your future and give a gift package to celebrate a romantic weekend in Hampton later in the year. A visit to Hampton is an absolute must for those exploring Black History in America. Our Hampton Black History Sites Pass is a free passport guiding you to the top Black heritage sites here in Hampton. Check-in to the locations or museums listed between Feb. 1 - March 15 to be entered to win a giveaway featuring some of the local Black-owned businesses!

  • Feb. 5: Life in the Reservation Community at Hampton History Musuem - hear the stories of the emancipated people in the decades after the Civil War in their new settlement and their later displacement. 
  • Feb. 16: Cocktails at the Charles - fine art & fine entertainment at The Charles H. Taylor Visual Arts Center
  • Feb. 16: Night Sky: Galaxies & Star Clusters - Join us to explore the night sky viewing galaxies, and star clusters over Fort Monroe. Telescopes & guidance provided.
  • Feb. 29 - March 3: Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival features a merchant's mall with a variety of textiles, workshops, exhibitions, & more at Hampton Roads Convention Center.
  • Wednesdays in Feb: Black Legacies: Shaping the History of Fort Monroe

  • Fridays & Saturdays : Black Heritage at Fort Monroe guided tour explores some of the diverse and dynamic history found here at "Freedom's Fortress."
