Our Mission: To foster, promote, market, and service our community as a quality destination.
March 29, 2021 The newest marketing piece from the Cedar Falls Tourism & Visitors Bureau has hit the big screen, allowing event planners to become VIP guests as they virtually experience the city through a fun video tour! The video highlights Cedar Falls' first-class hotels, premium event centers, exciting entertainment options, feature attractions, and so much more. To watch the Cedar Falls Virtual Tour, click here. A special thank you goes out to Mike Cunningham (director), Michael Minard (videographer/editor), Bien VenU, Dan Deery Motors, Gallagher Bluedorn, Hampton Inn, Main Street Sweets, The Stuffed Olive, UNI-Dome, and Whiskey Road. Easter is April 4 and there are many places serving holiday brunch. Check out our What's for Breakfast blog for four restaurants that will elevate breakfast to an entirely new level. In addition, you'll find other breakfast hot spots along with coffee, tea, and donut shops. The USAW Folkstyle Nationals Championships are April 1-3 at the UNI-Dome. This is the first leg of the USA Wrestling’s Triple Crown program. The Triple Crown is awarded to any athlete who wins a USA Wrestling national title in folkstyle, Greco-Roman and freestyle the same year and has become one of the most prestigious honors in youth and high school wrestling. More than 5,000 wrestlers, coaches and spectators will be in Cedar Falls for this 3-day competition. Please help us welcome these visitors as they patronize restaurants and businesses in our community. Additional details can be found at usawrestlingevents.com. The Cedar Valley Sports Commission is looking for volunteers to assist with weigh-ins and mat assistance during the USAW Folkstyle Nationals Championships at the UNI-Dome, March 31 – April 3. Training and a meal will be provided for all volunteers and there are many open shifts available for individuals or groups. Volunteers may sign up through the Volunteer Center of Cedar Valley. For more information, contact Ashley Johnson at 319-493-5371 or [email protected]. If you are planning a special organized group trail event, please register with the Cedar Trails Partnership. Registration allows parks and public safety personnel to prepare ahead of time for your event and reduces the likelihood of overbooking and having events "collide". Registered events will enjoy additional promotion through the Visitors Bureaus, Cedar Trails Partnership, local media outlets, and other web sites. To register your event, go to cedartrailspartnership.org. For questions about trail events, contact Deb Lewis at 319-268-4266 or [email protected]. And, as always, make sure to submit your public event to cedarvalley365.com. Upcoming Events UNI Athletics
