Big Bear MX Grand Prix by O'NEAL

August 19-23 | 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

Motocross takes over the mountain as the Big Bear MX Grand Prix by O’NEAL returns to Bear Mountain for five action-packed days of racing.

 

The course puts Big Bear’s mountain terrain to work with jumps, berms, technical sections and major elevation changes across an approximately three-mile dirt loop. Racers ranging from young riders to 60+ competitors will take on the course, with classes spanning beginner through pro levels.

 

Spectators can catch the action from Bear Mountain’s base area and patio deck, with food and beverages available and sponsors showcasing products and demos throughout the event.

Music in the Mountains - Journey & Bryan Adams

Saturday, August 22nd | 6:30-9:30

Big Bear Discovery Center

 

Spend an evening under the stars with DSB – The World’s Greatest Tribute to Journey, bringing the soaring vocals, signature sound and arena-rock energy of Journey to the Big Bear Discovery Center Amphitheater.

 

Summer of ’69 – Tribute to Bryan Adams opens the evening with more classic rock favorites before DSB takes the stage. The concert is part of the Southern California Mountains Foundation’s Music in the Mountains series, with proceeds supporting conservation, recreation and education programs throughout the San Bernardino National Forest.

Big Bear Lake Antique Boat Show

  Saturday, August 22nd | 10:00am-12:00pm

Step back in time and admire a collection of beautifully preserved classic boats during the Big Bear Lake Antique Boat Show.

 

From polished woodwork to vintage craftsmanship, the show celebrates Big Bear Lake’s boating heritage and offers visitors a chance to get an up-close look at vessels that capture the timeless spirit of summers on the lake.

Kids Adventure Race

Bear Mountain, 43101 Goldmine Drive

 

Young adventurers take on the mountain during the Kids Adventure Race, a three-day alpine challenge built especially for kids ages 6-14.

 

Teams of two will bike, hike, wade, climb and problem-solve their way through a 3.5 to 5-mile course featuring up to 15 natural and man-made obstacles. From alpine trails to water crossings, the race puts teamwork, confidence and outdoor skills to the test all against the backdrop of Big Bear’s mountain terrain.

Big Bear LakeFest

August 28-29

Celebrate the final days of summer lakeside at Big Bear LakeFest, bringing live music, local flavors and family-friendly fun to the shores of Big Bear Lake.

 

Enjoy two days of live performances alongside food trucks, a beer garden, local art, a BMX show, Kids Zone and Vendor Village—all surrounded by mountain views at Ski Beach Park. Admission is free, making LakeFest an easy addition to a late-summer weekend in Big Bear.

The Village at Big Bear Lake

 

The Big Bear Lake Summer Concert Series brings another night of free live music to the heart of the heart of The Village with Nick Waterhouse and The McCharmlys

 

Groove to the rhythm and blues and jazz-soul sounds of Nick Waterhouse, then enjoy the McCharmlys' blend of doo-wop, surf and '60s-inspired rock. It's an admission-free evening of live music in the mountains and a perfect way to enjoy a summer Saturday in The Village.

The countdown to the Big Bear Rodeo & Carnival is on! Get ready for a weekend of rodeo excitement, carnival rides and family fun.

 

Guests can purchase a one-day unlimited ride wristband for just $40 during pre-sale, saving $10 off the $50 gate price.
