Tour de Big Bear

July 31–August 2
Bear Mountain Resort

 

Southern California’s premier cycling festival returns with more than nine road, gravel and mountain biking events for riders of all ages and abilities.

Cyclists can choose from 25-, 50-, 70- and 100-mile road rides; the 25-mile Dirty Cub and 50-mile Dirty Bear gravel rides; and a 50K cross-country mountain bike race.

 

The weekend also features several free community events, including the Poker Ride, Friday Night Glow Ride, Family Fun Ride, kids’ activities and Sunday recovery rides. At the Big Bear Cycling Expo, visitors can enjoy vendor booths, bike demonstrations, live music, Bikes & Brews, food and family activities.

What's Coming up Next Weekend

Big Bear Fun Run

August 7–9
The Village at Big Bear Lake

 

Big Bear’s car culture takes center stage during one of the community’s most anticipated summer traditions. The Big Bear Fun Run brings together more than 450 classic, custom and antique vehicles for a weekend celebrating craftsmanship, history and a shared passion for the open road.

 

Stroll through The Village, meet fellow car enthusiasts and admire an incredible collection of vehicles against Big Bear’s mountain backdrop. The weekend includes registration and vendors on Friday, the main car show on Saturday, and an awards ceremony and raffle on Sunday.

 

Friday: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM

Saturday: 9:00 AM–3:30 PM

Sunday: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM

Conquer the Wall

Saturday, August 15
Snow Summit, 880 Summit Boulevard

 

One mile. Straight uphill. At 7,000 feet.

 

Conquer the Wall invites runners of all ages and abilities to test themselves on one of Big Bear’s most legendary climbs. The course follows “The Wall,” Snow Summit’s steepest ski slope and a route once used by Olympian Ryan Hall during his early training in Big Bear.

 

Whether racing for the podium or taking on a personal challenge, participants will experience an unforgettable climb, incredible mountain views and the satisfaction of conquering the wall. Paid participants also receive a complimentary Sky Chair ride back down the mountain after the race.

Complimentary Visitor Magazines for Your Guests

Give your guests a helpful resource for exploring Big Bear by providing copies of the official Big Bear Lake Visitor Magazine at your hotel, vacation rental or business.

 

The magazine is filled with information about local activities, dining, events, trails, lake recreation, history and more. We especially encourage lodging partners to place a copy in every guest room or vacation rental.

 

Printed Visitor Magazines are available to Visit Big Bear members and partners free of charge.
