This Weekend: Big Bear Peaks & Pines / Holcomb Valley Trail Run

Big Bear Peaks & Pines, formerly known as the Holcomb Valley Trail Run, takes place June 12–14, 2026, bringing runners, families, spectators, and outdoor enthusiasts to Big Bear for a weekend of alpine trail racing and mountain adventure.

 

This expanded race weekend includes multi-day stage race options along with the long-running Holcomb Valley Trail Run single-day races. Events will take place at locations throughout Big Bear, including Snow Summit, Big Bear Village, and Big Bear High School.

 

Please help welcome visiting athletes and their families, and consider sharing the event with guests who may want to cheer on the racers or enjoy the weekend energy around town.

Father’s Day and Juneteenth weekend is shaping up to be a busy one in Big Bear. With Juneteenth falling on Friday, June 19, many visitors may have a long weekend and extra time to explore, dine, shop, stay, and enjoy everything happening around town.

Big Bear Lake Village Wine Walk – Saturday, June 20

The Big Bear Lake Village Wine Walk returns Saturday, June 20, inviting guests to stroll through The Village while enjoying wine tastings, snacks, shopping, dining, and mountain-town atmosphere.

Summer Concert Series Kickoff – Saturday, June 20

The first event of the Free Summer Concert Series also takes place Saturday, June 20 in The Village. This all-ages event will feature live music, local dining, and summer energy in the heart of Big Bear Lake. The opening night lineup includes The English Beat and Sweet & Tender Hooligans.

Make Music Big Bear – Sunday, June 21

Make Music Big Bear will bring free live music throughout town on Sunday, June 21, in celebration of Make Music Day. This year’s event includes 20 locations and 65 performances, with music taking place in the Moonridge Corridor from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and in The Village from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Big Bear Theatre Project: On Golden Pond – June 18–28

Big Bear Theatre Project’s 2026 season continues with On Golden Pond at the Big Bear Lake Performing Arts Center. This classic production is a great evening option for visitors looking to add arts and culture to their Father’s Day weekend itinerary.

RSVP for Visit Big Bear’s Annual Meeting

You’re invited to Visit Big Bear’s Annual Meeting on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at The Event Center at Destination Big Bear.

 

This annual gathering brings together our TBID membership, Voluntary Partners, business and community leaders, and engaged community members to reflect on the past year, preview what’s ahead for 2026/2027, and share new initiatives supporting Big Bear Lake as a premier four-season destination.

 

The evening will include updates on Visit Big Bear’s destination marketing efforts, the newest Visitor Guide in partnership with Wanderlust Content Studio, Care for Big Bear initiatives, our partnership with Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, continued engagement with Discover Inland Empire, and more.

Board of Directors Election Voting Closes: 8:00 PM, at the conclusion of the general meeting

 

Voting for the Visit Big Bear Board of Directors election will remain open until 8:00 PM, allowing members who would like to hear from the candidates during the meeting the opportunity to do so before casting their votes. Following the close of voting, Visit Big Bear’s third-party election administrator will have up to 48 hours to finalize and certify the results. Official results will be announced the following week.
