Dear Visit Big Bear Partners,
We’re putting together a fun new winter marketing feature highlighting Big Bear’s bar and restaurant scene, and we’d love to include you. This season, Visit Big Bear will be promoting a collection of signature Negroni-style cocktails created by local bars and restaurants. We’ll be: -
Creating a dedicated promotional page on BigBear.com highlighting each participating location and its featured Negroni.
- Including the collection in our winter marketing efforts and consumer emails.
- Pitching the campaign to travel media outlets as a unique way to experience Big Bear’s après-ski and dining scene.
How it works We’re asking each participating establishment to create its own twist on a classic Negroni—complete with a unique name, look, and flavor profile—while staying true to the Negroni’s core balance of: - Bitter (Campari or another red bitter),

Sweet (vermouth or a similar aperitif), and
- Strong (a base spirit such as gin, whiskey, mezcal, rum, or Prosecco for a Sbagliato-style riff).
You can make it your own by: -
Swapping spirits (e.g., bourbon for a Boulevardier-style take, mezcal for smokiness, rum for a tropical spin, or Prosecco for a Negroni Sbagliato).
- Using different gins or red vermouths and premium ingredients.
- Adding liqueurs such as elderflower for floral notes, or fresh citrus like grapefruit.
- Playing with garnishes—rosemary, citrus peels, and other creative touches.

Our goal is to create an engine for discoverability that introduces both visitors and locals to great bars and restaurants they may not have discovered yet. Thank you for helping us showcase Big Bear’s cocktail creativity and giving guests one more reason to explore our mountain town this winter.
