August 14, 2020 Jacksonville’s Black History Comes to Life Through Art
This week marked the kick off of ArtRepublic's "Lift Every Voice: A Creative Intervention" in Downtown Jacksonville. This public art project will bring 15 new murals to our extensive collection of art in the city’s core. The murals will tell the untold stories of Jacksonville's most prolific Black artists, from the Harlem of the South in the early 1900’s to now. We can't wait to see Jacksonville’s Black history come to life across Downtown Jacksonville!
To keep up with the progress of the art and meet the artists, follow ArtRepublic on Instagram and @Visit_Jax for the latest updates!
