February 28, 2020 TOP TIPS(A) FOR HOTELS Jacksonville’s tourism industry’s top priority is visitor safety and with that in mind Councilman Danny Becton, Visit Jacksonville, The Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association (FRLA) Northeast Chapter and The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office have launched a new crime fighting initiative program for Duval County hotels -- Tourism Industry & Public Safety Alliance (TIPSA). TIPSA will allow the local industry to be proactive in preventing crime at area hotels. Through this program we will create an open line of communication among Hotel Owners/General Managers and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO). TIPSA has 3 main components:
